Zombies can rise from the dead and apparently climate lawsuits can, too. On Tuesday, a federal court breathed new life into a lawsuit by Californian cities against Big Oil. The powerful Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco, which has jurisdiction over almost the entire American West, Alaska, and Hawaii, found that the lawsuit brought by San Francisco and Oakland had been from state to federal court before it was dismissed back in 2018.
