Meridian coaches helping with Sanford flood clean-up

Meridian boys` basketball coach and athletics director Mitch Bohn has seen a lot in his 20-plus years on the sideline. But he`s never seen anything remotely comparable to the devastation which flash flooding has wrought on his hometown. Bohn is part of a crew of local volunteers consisting of former and current Meridian coaches and athletes who have been working for several days to help home-owners in Sanford pick up the pieces, including some who have literally lost everything. `We`re gutting houses, cutting drywall, taking out insulation and flooring — everything you can do to dry the houses out and get them ready to restore, if possible.
