Stock, commodity, bond, forex markets closed today for Eid ul Fitr; to resume trading tomorrow

All major financial markets including BSE, National Stock Exchange, currency and debt markets will remain closed today (25 May) on account of Eid ul Fitr, a public holiday. Wholesale commodity markets, including metal and bullion, will also remain shut and there will be no trading activity in the forex and commodity futures markets as well. Financial markets will resume trading on Tuesday, 26 May. The NSE Nifty 50 index closed 0.74 percent lower at 9,039.25 on Friday, while the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex ended down 0.84 percent at 30,672.59.
