Covid-19: Odisha government tweaks quarantine guidelines for returnees

BHUBANESWAR: Amidst the continuous rise in Covid-19 cases in the state Odisha government on Sunday revised the quarantine norms for those returning from other states. Quarantine period for returnees has reduced from 21 days to 14 days and all district collectors will implement the new rule. A total of 1,335 Covid-19 cases have been detected in Odisha so far. Returnees in rural areas will undergo seven days of mandatory institutional quarantine, after which asymptomatic persons will be discharged to undergo home quarantine for a further period of seven days.
