PM Imran Khan defers increase in gas tariff

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday deferred the gas tariff revision as per the agreement with IMF and instead asked the SNGPL and SSGC to address the cross cutting issues, corruption and line losses in the system and adopt austerity. In a video message after the Energy Committee meeting presided over by the prime minister here, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan stated this and ruled out any increase in gas tariff.
