Congress set to revamp party´s `top heavy´ Punjab unit

CHANDIGARH: A day after Punjab Congress top brass met party´s national president Sonia Gandhi, she dissolved the `top-heavy` Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) on Tuesday to enable a revamp. The move will give the state leadership an opportunity to accommodate new faces. Sources said many PPCC office-bearers had recently been accommodated as heads of boards and corporations and some cabinet ministers continue to be on the list of the state executive.
