Earlier this month, Iran launched missile strikes aimed at US troops in Iraq in what it said was retaliation for the killing of the top Iranian general Qassem Suleimani. Tehran also admitted shooting down a passenger jet, after denying it for several days. At 1pm GMT, the World Economic Forum´s founder and executive chairman Klaus Schwab and other WEF officials will hold a press conference to outline this year´s programme and participants.
