KOLKATA: Onion prices in markets across the city shot up every six hours on Wednesday with the premium variety selling for Rs 150 a kg in the evening despite government efforts to make the vegetable available at a reasonable rate. The humble onion´s bull run at the retail market began early on Wednesday with its price opening at Rs 130 a kg.
