Road fatalities: Mum fares better, 3% reduction

MUMBAI: While road fatalities in the rest of the state surged, Mumbai fared much better in the year 2018 by bringing about a 3% reduction in accident deaths year-on-year. Data released by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on Saturday showed Mumbai's ranking improve from being ranked eighth in 2017 with 490 fatalities to being ranked 10th last year with 475 fatalities.
