PPCB slaps Rs10L bank guarantee on A2Z

Ludhiana: Taking serious note of poor management of solid waste at Tajpur Road garbage dump, officials of Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) imposed a Rs10-lakh bank guarantee on private firm A2Z Waste Management. The private firm has been accused of using inefficient reduced derived fuel (RDF) plant for recycling garbage, and recently, a few fire incidents were also reported at the dump, for which also the company has been held guilty.
