Zadie Smith’s latest work, “Grand Union,� will be released Oct. 8. The collection of short stories — half of them previously unpublished — ranges in topic from the metaphor of a lazy river to three superstars’ escape from 9/11. She will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday at Westerville South High School about the book and more.
