PANAJI: Hundreds of people from across the state bid farewell to firebrand activist and Goa´s iron lady, Victoria Fernandes, as she was laid to rest with full state honours at the Holy Cross Church cemetery in Santa Cruz, on Monday. Rich tributes paid lauded her as a selfless leader of the downtrodden and the voice of the common man in several pivotal agitations in the state.
