The flag that led the first Americans to Utah Beach on D-Day, June 6, 1944, is headed to a ceremony at the White House and ultimately to the Smithsonian Institution. Dutch art collector Bert Kreuk bought the flag through Heritage Auctions June 12, 2016, for $514,000. Kreuk will deliver the 48-Star Flag that Led the First Americans to Utah Beach on D-Day, June 6, 1944 to President Donald Trump during a ceremony that is scheduled during Netherlands Prime Minister Marke Rutte`s visit next week to the White House.
