It’s going to be a scorcher of a weekend, but there’s still plenty to do in the city for people who want to be outside:The Taste of Vietnam Festival is happening Friday until 10 p.m. at Nathan Phillips Square. Admission is free and there will be food and performances. The festival will also be fundraising to combat human trafficking and child exploitation.Pizza Fest will be running all weekend at Ontario Place. For $7.95, you’ll have access to numerous vendors serving all different kinds of pizzas.The Toronto Caribbean Carnival weekend may be two weeks away, but the Junior Carnival Parade and Family Day will be happening Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Neilson Park in Scarborough. Roads will be closed on McLevin Ave., from Sewells Rd. to Neilson Rd., and Neilson Rd., from McLevin Ave. to Finch Ave. E.The BIG on Bloor Festival is back for its 12th year Saturday. Art and music will take over Bloordale as Bloor St. W. will be pedestrian-only between Dufferin St. and Lansdowne Ave. from noon to midnight.The Toronto Triathlon Festival is on this weekend, bringing more road closures with it. From 2 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sunday, the Gardiner Expressway will be closed eastbound from the Humber River exit to the Don Valley Parkway. Road closures will continue on the northbound lanes of the DVP to the Eglinton Ave. exit.The German consulate general is hosting Toronto’s first German food festival Sunday. You can check out Taste of Germany at Evergreen Brick Works from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.Former Toronto Raptors shooting guard Danny Green is back in town Saturday and will be hosting a podcast with his co-host Harrison Sanford at the Rec Room. Tickets are $49.99 and they’ll be joined by Superfan Nav Bhatia and former Raptors assistant coach Phil Handy.More than 41,000 visitors from around the world are in town for the Toronto International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses at Exhibition Place.
