Environment Canada issues heat warning for Toronto on Friday

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Toronto on Friday — it’s expected to exceed 40 degrees Celsius with the humidex over the next two days.Daytime temperatures Friday will be 33 C but it will feel like 45 C with the humidity. A high of 32 C is expected Saturday but it’ll feel like 43 C.There’s a risk of strong thunderstorms on both Friday and Saturday.It will be 28 C on Sunday (feels like 34 C) and drop to a high of 25 C on Monday (feels like 30 C) Environment Canada says the heat affects everyone, but the risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses or who are working or exercising outdoors.People are advised not to leave people or pets parked inside vehicles.Read more:We packed 175 years of Toronto weather data into one nifty tool.
