The problem with sleeping is that you might miss out on big news. Like, for instance, Kawhi Leonard joining the LA Clippers on a four-year, $142M maximum contract. The Star confirmed reports from ESPN sports analyst Adrian Wojnarowski at around 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning, that Leonard would be leaving the Toronto Raptors for the Clippers. The announcement — on a weekend, no less — caused a frenzy among NBA fans and media alike, all of whom have hotly anticipated Leonard’s decision since the free agency period opened on June 30.Despite the late-night announcement for fans on the east coast, social media was abuzz with reactions over the blockbuster deal. Of course, in the immediate aftermath of the devastating news, some Raptors fans needed consoling, and a reminder of what the team has accomplished:Some looked to the L.A.
