Monterey County beaches earn mostly good grades

MONTEREY — Local beaches earned mostly good grades in Heal the Bay’s annual Beach Report Card released Wednesday. Monterey Municipal Beach, next to Municipal Wharf No. 2, earned the worst grades among the eight beaches from Monterey County included in the report with a B grade in dry summer conditions from April to October and an F in wet weather recorded year-round.
