06.26.19 WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Senators Dan Sullivan (R-AK), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), and Bob Menendez (D-NJ) today led colleagues from both sides of the aisle in launching a new effort to combat the global marine debris crisis. At a news conference this morning in the Capitol, the senators unveiled the Save Our Seas 2.0 Act to address plastics and trash entering the ocean that harm fisheries and marine life, litter shorelines, and threaten the livelihood of coastal communities.
