Ghosts, madness explored in new play `The Lincoln Dress`

It is the most macabre and mythic dress in American political history, the satin gown 20-year-old Clara Harris of Albany wore to Ford`s Theatre on April 14, 1865. Harris sat near President Abraham Lincoln the night he was assassinated, which left the presidential box drenched in blood.`The Lincoln Dress,` a new play by Albany native John McEneny, a Brooklyn-based playwright and director, explores the legends surrounding the fabled garment, which was last known to be in Harris` Loudonville home.
