Over 2 thousand centenarians in the Netherlands

(English subtitles available) Over the past few decades, the number of centenarians has increased virtually every year. However, growth has stagnated at around 2,200 for a few years now. The vast majority of the 2,189 centenarianson 1 January 2019were women (1,850). The number of centenarians is expected to rise again after 2020, partly due to a minor baby boom after the First World War.
