HOPEDALE — Town officials say the nearly half-million-dollar tax override they’re asking for at Town Meeting on Tuesday is just to keep basic services running.“The (override) would really cover just contractual obligations, and probably not even cover our mandated costs,” School Superintendent Karen Crebase said. “The override is critical for us to be able to maintain the level of service we currently have.”The town is looking for ......
