CHENNAI: Road accidents are not an uncommon sight in the city given the huge number of vehicles, but Nandambakkam junction on Mount-Poonamallee High Road seems to be a particularly perilous spot, especially for pedestrians. A crucial link to the western regions of the city and state and further on to Karnataka, a large number of vehicles use the stretch from both Porur to Anna Salai and from Guindy to Poonamallee round the clock, with most motorists disregarding rules.
