UN Security Council Considering British-Drafted Resolution For Ceasefire In Libya

The United Nations Security Council is said to be considering a resolution drafted by the United Kingdom which would demand a ceasefire in Libya while also calling on countries which have influence in the area to ensure compliance from the warring parties on Tuesday, according to Reuters. The UNSC is scheduled to meet later on Tuesday to discuss the text which also demands unconditional humanitarian aid access in the country which has been struggling with conflict since longtime authoritarian Muammar Gaddafi was removed in 2011.
