Thousands Flee Wildfire In South Korea, At Least Two Dead

Officials said a wildfire in the coastal city of Sokcho in South Korea had killed two people, injured at least 11, and forced more than 4,000 to evacuate by Friday morning, according to Yonhap news agency. The Associated Press said the fire first broke out in eastern Gangwon Province on Thursday evening before spreading to the popular seaside holiday town, burning nearly 385 hectares (950 acres) of land and 310 homes, structures, and other buildings, according to government sources.
