Turkey: Kurdish New Year gets political in Diyarbakir

The Turkish city of Diyarbakir, dubbed the country`s Kurdish capital, is a strong support base for the pro-Kurdish HDP party. But after the last election, more than 90% of HDP mayors were replaced by technocrats, after a decision by President Erdogan. The same could happen for this year`s polls on March 31.
