Gujarat: Lovers commit suicide in Sabarmati

AHMEDABAD: Bodies of a 27-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl, their hands tied together with a handkerchief, were recovered from Sabarmati river by Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services (AFES) personnel on Sunday morning near riverfront behind National Institute of Design (NID) in Paldi area of the city. The man has been identified as Kamlesh Parmar, a resident of Khanusa village in Vankarvas of Vijapur taluka of Mehsana district who worked at a private firm in Vijapur, and the girl has been identified as Shweta Parmar, a resident of Danilimda area of the city.
