Udhagamandalam: Officials of the Tea Board of India on Thursday seized seven tonnes of tea waste, thanks to an election flying squad. The squad had stopped a truck at Kunjapanai check-post on the Kotagiri-Mettupalayam Road on Thursday night. The driver of the vehicle was not possessing the relevant papers for the goods being transported. The squad officials immediately alerted the Tea Board.
