More Than 1,200 Species Facing Severe Threat Of Extinction Without Conservation Efforts

A new report published on Tuesday from scientists working with Australia`s University of Queensland and the Wildlife Conservation Society said more than 1,200 species were facing threats to their survival in more than 90 percent of their habitats around the world, according to The Guardian. The researchers said the animals `will almost certainly face extinction` without conservation intervention after they mapped out threats facing the habitats of 5,457 birds, mammals, and amphibians.
