Two Arrests on Crete for Antiquities Smuggling

HERAKLION, Crete – A 54-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman have been arrested in Heraklion, Crete and accused of antiquities smuggling. A search of the suspects’ house revealed three large amphorae, two clay basins, three clay vessels and parts of various objects made of clay, all products of illegal activity.
