Apex Legends has stormed onto the battle royale scene in its first week, gathering some 25 million players into three-person squads, according to developer Respawn Entertainment. That`s a lot of players--although not quite as many as the huge 200 million registered Fortnite players. The speed at which Apex Legends has gathered a massive community, however, has caused many to speculate that it might be the next big thing. And it seems that Epic Games has taken notice: the Fortnite developer made its Battle Pass for Season 8 free if you earn it by completing challenges.
