Recovering Wieck reports after cancer surgery

Padres left-hander Brad Wieck was diagnosed with testicular cancer during the offseason, manager Andy Green said Wednesday. Wieck underwent surgery last month, and doctors believe him to be healthy ahead of his scheduled follow-up appointments.
