CAIRO (AP) - In a story Feb. 6 about Western arms supplied to the Yemen war, The Associated Press incorrectly cited Amnesty International researcher Patrick Wilcken as saying that American and British weapons had ended up in the hands of the Islamic State group and al-Qaida. The researcher said only that the arms had been siphoned off to local militias in Yemen that are backed by the United Arab Emirates.
