MikeCheck: As NBA's most prominent active HBCU alum, Covington applauds Grizzlies efforts to honor Black College community leaders

Starting Tuesday night at FedExForum, the Grizzlies will honor a different graduate in each of the team´s six February home games with an HBCU Empowerment Award. The franchise will also contribute $1,000 to the scholarship fund of the HBCU that the honoree attended.
