Sources: Cano, Diaz deal with Mets close

Sources confirmed on Saturday night that the Mariners and Mets had agreed to a trade that would send eight-time All-Star second baseman Robinson Cano, electric young closer Edwin Diaz and $20 million to the Mets in exchange for a couple of New York`s top prospects as well as veteran outfielder Jay Bruce and reliever Anthony Swarzak.
