Mariners, Rays near Zunino deal, source says

The Mariners and Rays appear close to finalizing a trade that would send catcher Mike Zunino and outfielder Guillermo Heredia to Tampa Bay for Rays outfielder Mallex Smith. The framework of the deal has been agreed to, a source told MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal, but MLB.com`s Mark Feinsand reported that the trade is `not done` and may be expanded to include more than the three aforementioned players. The deal also won`t be finalized until medical files are reviewed, and neither club has confirmed the agreement, which was first reported by Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times.
