Mapping of constructions near Killiyar to begin in Nov

Thiruvananthapuram: Man-made constructions on either side of Killiyaar will be digitally mapped as part of the survey to be undertaken under Clean Killiyar mission. The mission has set January 1, 2019 as the deadline for declaration of Clean Killiyar. The digital survey, the crucial component in the scheme is scheduled from November 1 to 15. Open spaces and man-made structures on 50 metres on either side of the water body in 18 wards will be mapped as part of the survey. `We are also collecting data on number of toilets, play spaces and requirement for surveillance cameras along the area being surveyed.
