Purdue notebook: Boilers begin prep for `elite` Ohio State program

WEST LAFAYETTE - As Purdue enters the second half of Jeff Brohm´s second season, there are already tangible signs of progress. The coach inherited a program that won just nine games in the previous four seasons. Already, just 18 games into his tenure, the Boilermakers have surpassed that total with seven wins last year and three this year. A team that was for years considered a member of the Big Ten basement dwellers has begun to climb out of the cellar. With back-to-back blowout wins over Nebraska and Illinois, the Boilers have successfully separated themselves from the worst in the West.
