Patiala: Sangrur senior superintendent of police (SSP) has ordered a probe after a video shot by inmates of the Sangrur jail went viral on various social media platforms, in which they had alleged large-scale corruption inside the prison. In the video - believed to have been shot inside the Sangrur district jail - five undertrials are seen alleging they were being kept inside a smaller cell for the past 15 days, and jail authorities were asking them to pay a bribe of Rs1 lakh, so that they could be shifted to a larger cell.
