Amnesia creator Frictional Games says it`s `hoping` to bring the series to Switch, and that the franchise `should work` on Nintendo`s handheld console. `We`re looking into it,` creative director Thomas Grip told GameSpot. `I would love to do Switch content. I grew up with Nintendo being the big platform, so it`s like, `Wow, we`re actually doing video games for real now if we can get it on Nintendo!``And it would just be cool to get it on a handheld as well, because I think that should work for Amnesia and other games as well. We`re looking into it and seeing what can be done. We`re hoping--if everything goes as we hope--we hope we`ll have it [on Switch].`The first Amnesia title, The Dark Descent, launched on PC in 2010 before coming to PS4 in 2016 along with the franchise`s second game, A Machine for Pigs. Both games were recently released on Xbox One as the Amnesia Collection. The Xbox One release also coincided with a new update that adds a hard mode, designed to test expert players through tweaks to musical cues and added lethality to your sanity meter. That update is available now on Xbox One and PC, and is coming to PS4 soon.Amnesia wouldn`t be the first big series to come to Switch after an initial launch elsewhere. Doom and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim both came to Switch after their first releases, as did horror stalwart Resident Evil with both Revelations games.
