Epstein says Maddon will return to Cubs in `19

President of baseball operations Theo Epstein told reporters on Wednesday afternoon that Joe Maddon will return as the Cubs` manager in 2019 despite uncertainty stemming from Chicago`s early postseason exit. The Cubs, who lost Monday`s National League Central tiebreaker game to the Brewers, were eliminated with Tuesday night`s 2-1, 13-inning loss to the Rockies in the NL Wild Card Game at Wrigley Field.
