Flood alert: 300 pilgrims stranded at AP border

HYDERABAD: The official machinery in Telangana has been alerted over flood threat in low-lying areas as incessant rains lashed parts of the state since Saturday night. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in several districts across the state on Monday. A number of hilly streams and rivulets are in spate and overflowing at a few places disrupting road transport. As many as 20 villages were cut off in Adilabad and Bhadradri-Kothagudem districts due to overflowing seasonal streams.
