Fairfield women shut out Hofstra HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - Hanley Courter scored her first career goal in the second second half as the Fairfield University women´s soccer team shut out reigning Colonial Athletic Association champion Hofstra 1-0 Sunday. Freshman goalkeeper Aytana Muschajew recorded her second consecutive shutout by picking up a nine saves for the Stags (2-0). The Stags´ victory snapped the Pride´s 13-match regular-season unbeaten streak. Hofstra appeared to have knotted the game with 24:30 left in the match, but their goal was wiped away on an offsides violation.
