Cop accuses Amreli SP of assault, goes on leave

Rajkot: Amreli superintendent of police Nirlipt Rai found himself mired in a controversy after a police sub-inspector accused the IPS officer of physical assault. Though he has not lodged any official complaint, PSI N G Gosai of Amreli city police station while talking to reporters, he alleged that Rai assaulted him at the local crime branch (LCB) office on Saturday night. Gosai has also circulated his video on WhatsApp and social media accusing Rai of assaulting him.
