Kerala got 164% excess rainfall this month

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The highest excess rainfall of the season has been recorded in Idukki district. The rainfall in Idukki was 92% above normal this monsoon season. It was followed by Palakkad, which received 72% rainfall till Sunday. The rainfall received by the entire state in this season was 42% excess. As per the latest data of India Meteorological Department, the rainfall over state during June, July and August (1-19 August) has been 15%, 18% and 164% above normal respectively.
