Ghaziabad: Passengers arriving at platform no 1 and 2 of Ghaziabad railway station had to face a lot of hardship as the rats had nibbled the wire of the escalator installed here. The escalator remained defunct for the entire day, as a result, passengers had to take steps. The escalator suddenly stopped functioning on Thursday night. Local workers were called but they could not find the defect. Later the company people were called. After thorough inspection, they found that the wire has been nibbled at server places by the rats.
