LARAMIE - Not long ago, some faculty members at the University of Wyoming were asking whether the football program should consider moving one step down from the top-tier Football Bowl Subdivision to the Football Championship Subdivision. It seems far less believable now, as the Cowboys are coming off consecutive eight-win seasons, during which they hosted a Mountain West Football Championship Game and produced a top-10 NFL Draft pick, but the issue was discussed at one of the UW Financial Crisis Advisory Committee´s earliest meetings.
