Accident victims to get cashless treatment

CHANDIGARH: If all goes according to the plan of the administration, road accident victims will be provided with cashless treatment at registered private hospitals and nursing homes in the city. The administration plans to replicate the scheme introduced by the Delhi government earlier this year. All victims of road accidents which occur in Chandigarh will be eligible for cashless treatment, irrespective of the domicile status. Registered hospitals and nursing homes will not refuse treatment to victims and they will have to inform the police after administering first-aid and treatment required to save the victim`s life.
