Housing Board sends govt estimate for cave-in repair

Ghaziabad: The UP housing board has sent an estimate to the state government to carry out the repair work on the Vasundhara road cave-in site. The 4,000 sqm trench in the area led to a massive cave-in due to incessant rain on the morning of July 26, forcing families to evacuate their flats. The work on road which was damaged extensively will be taken up by the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation (GMC) after the trench is filled up. `We have sent an estimate to our department for filling the 4,000 sqm of trench which led to cave-in incident in Vasundhra Sector 4 C.
