Teen consumes poison due to alleged torture by teacher

Nagpur: A Std X student, aged 15 years, on Friday was admitted at a private hospital in Jaripatka after consuming poison. In his statement to police, the teenager alleged that he took the step following torture by his teacher and supervisor of his school in Mohan Nagar. The student, it is learnt, had been repeatedly hauled up by a teacher and later by the supervisor for remaining absent. In a video, collected by activist Shahid Sharif, a panellist in deputy director of education office, the student´s family is seen alleging about repeated harassment by the teacher and supervisor, who even made him seat on the floor.
