Cocaine expose: Addicts mostly techies, students

HYDERABAD: Excise and prohibition department officials have identified 25 customers of cocaine that they traced during call data analysis of drug racketeers who were arrested on August 13. Most of the drug consumers were found to be techies, students and kids from rich families from Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills and Madhapur. Assistant excise superintendent (Enforcement) N Anji Reddy told TOI, `The analysis of mobile phones call list, call data records and WhatsApp communication of accused Abdul Hameed revealed that there were several cocaine users, mostly software engineers, and a few students and college dropouts from the upmarket area....
